About Us
It was 1938, on Beach Street at Savin Rock, when our grandparents Frederick and Susan Apicella opened the doors of App's Restaurant. Today, 79 years later, as a third generation family owned and operated restaurant, we continue to serve the greater New Haven area, quality, yet affordable - Italian American fare. Our recipes are simple authentic classics for both lunch and dinner. Over the years we have never lost touch with our passion for excellent food and wonderful service for our guests.
App's Restaurant offers a warm color scheme of muted tans and browns to create an informal atmosphere with a modern flair. Our newly remodeled bar offers various wines by the glass, oversized martinis & great drinks. In addition to our Dining Menu we also offer a Bar Menu, Early Dining Menu, and Tuesday Happy Hour Menu, Prix Fixe Menu on Wednesday and Thursday for $23.00.
Our Main Dining Room seats 50 people, and there are three private dining rooms suitable for large groups, functions, business meetings, or any special occasion. We can accommodate 20-150 of your guests.
The Garden Room located in the front of the restaurant can accommodate 35 people and opens up to the Phoenix Room which is located in the center of the restaurant and can seat 70 people comfortably.
The Phoenix Room opens to the Back Room and accommodates an additional 45 of your guests.
We offer several Banquet Menus: Buffet, Served Luncheon Banquet Menu, Served Dinner Banquet Menu, Brunch, Hors d'oeuvres Menu, Bereavement Buffet, Trays to Go and Gift Certificates.
